The Global Ports & Shipping Awards 2026, organised by ETInfra – The Economic Times, are scheduled to be held on 10 September 2026 at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai, alongside the Global Ports & Shipping Summit 2026.

For Gujarathi Empire Group, being nominated across three distinct areas — bulk project execution, maritime workforce development and emerging maritime leadership — represents an important milestone in the Group’s growing maritime journey.

Nomination 1: Bulk Project Company of the Year

GE has been nominated in the Bulk Project Company of the Year category, highlighting its contribution towards the movement of approximately 1 million metric tonnes of boulders since 2024 for the Maldives Project.

The project represents a significant operational achievement involving large-volume bulk cargo movements and extensive coordination across commercial chartering, vessel planning, cargo operations, documentation and multiple stakeholders.

Crossing the 1 million-tonne shipment milestone demonstrates GE’s growing capabilities in executing complex international bulk and project cargo requirements.

Nomination 2: Maritime Skilling & Workforce Development Initiative of the Year

Gujarathi Empire Group has also been nominated for the Maritime Skilling & Workforce Development Initiative of the Year for its innovative GE Bulk – Train to Hire Project.

The Economic Times ETInfra award category recognises programmes contributing towards maritime education, professional skills, reskilling and workforce readiness.

Adding to this milestone, Mr. Ashutosh Gujarathi, CEO of Gujarathi Empire Group, has been nominated under the Emerging Maritime Leader – Below 40 category.

The nomination recognises his contribution and leadership within the maritime sector, including the development of GE’s activities across commercial shipbroking, chartering, bulk and project cargo movements, international business development and maritime talent development.
