The Kumar Gujarathi Foundation, together with the Gujarathi family, successfully organised a large-scale Food and Drinking Water Distribution Drive for thousands of Warkaris (pilgrims) participating in the sacred Ashadi Vari in Pune. The initiative was conducted to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Kumar Gujarathi, whose life was dedicated to values of compassion, generosity, and service to society.

The Ashadi Vari is one of Maharashtra’s most revered spiritual traditions, bringing together lakhs of devotees who walk long distances in devotion to Lord Vitthal. Recognising the importance of supporting the pilgrims during their journey, the Foundation arranged the distribution of nutritious food and clean drinking water, ensuring that devotees could continue their pilgrimage with comfort and dignity.

The programme witnessed the active participation of the entire Gujarathi family and volunteers, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to community welfare and social responsibility. The initiative brought immense satisfaction to everyone involved, as serving devotees during such a sacred occasion is considered one of the highest forms of seva.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Foundation shared that this initiative was inspired by the ideals and legacy of Late Shri Kumar Gujarathi and was made possible through the blessings of Shri Swami Samarth. The Foundation expressed gratitude for having the opportunity to give back to society and reaffirmed its commitment to continue this annual service activity in his loving memory.
